Extension spindles for easy access to operation
Extension spindles are used for access to operation of valves installed below ground or above ground in places where the valves are not easily accessible. AVK extension spindles are easy to use and made of corrosion-resistant materials on fully automated state-of-the-art production equipment to ensure a uniform and long-lasting quality.
Fixed length extension spindles are used when the distance between the valve and the ground surface is known so that only minor adjustment after installation is needed. The patented AVK fixed design facilitates fast and easy shortening of the extension spindle by use of a hacksaw.
Telescopic extension spindles are used when the distance between the valve and the ground surface can vary, and adjustment of the extension spindle may be required after installation. AVK telescopic extension spindles are designed with ears that can be fixed into AVK surface boxes and a lock spring that prevents the telescopic part from collapsing during installation.

Surface boxes - lightweight and maintenance free
AVK offers a wide variety of synthetic surface boxes. They are lightweight, ensuring safe and easy handling, and maintenance and corrosion free giving easy access throughout the year with no need to clean or grease the seat to protect against corrosion or frost. Furthermore, they are silent in traffic zones as the synthetic material absorbs noises, and they are 100% recyclable and heat resistant to max. 250ºC.
The Classic range comprises both fixed and height adjustable synthetic surface boxes, all DVGW approved and withstanding traffic loads according to DIN 1072. Height adjustable surface boxes prevent costly correction after installation and save time and money when roads are renovated.
The Futura range of synthetic surface boxes features a slim design with fixed height, a locking clip that prevents the lid from being lifted off unintentionally, and 100 % corrosion-resistant synthetic lids that are unattractive to thieves. The support tiles provide increased support surface in weak soils.
Digital monitoring of valve open/close position
VIDI Positioner is a battery-operated AVK Smart Water device that detects in percentages how much a gate valve is open. That way it is easy to detect if valves are rightfully opened or closed, which will increase reliability of flow and pressure measurements in the distribution network.
The AVK Smart Water concept consists of battery-operated, wireless IoT sensors for remote monitoring and data collection directly from applications in the distribution network. Data can be integrated into any preferred IT system which makes it easy to compile a complete overview of the network.
